Guido Governatori received PhD in Legal Informatics in 1997 from CIRSFID, University of Bologna. Since then he had academic positions at Imperial College London, Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology, and The University of Queensland.
He joined NICTA (now Data61), in 2008, where he leads the research activities on Business Process Compliance. His research interests include non-classical logics, non-monotonic reasoning, formal models of normative reasoning, and their applications to business process modelling.
