Caroline Schmidt joined the Austrian Ministry of Interior in 2017. Currently she holds the position of programme director implementing the EU cyber security package 2020 in the Ministry of Interior. She deals with legal and policy matters related to cybersecurity.
Ms Schmidt holds a Master in International Affairs – International Security from Sciences Po, Paris, a Research Master from the Sorbonne University and a Law Degree from Graz University. She attended University of Poitiers‘ Law school (2002-03) as Erasmus scholar. In the summer of 2007 she attended the International Law School in The Hague. Previous work experiences include work for the European External Action Service in Argentina, the International Center for Migration Policy Development, the Austrian Supreme Administrative Court and international law firms in Paris and Vienna. She has spent a number of years studying and working in Latinamerica and France.
